Etch Primer
Autotek etch primer is a grey modified acrylic primer based upon a speciality resin designed primarily to key onto non-ferrous metals, and to provide a tough, durable coating suitable for subsequent application of the Autotek range of standard gloss, satin and matt finishes, and coloured spray paints.
Where to use:
Non-ferrous metals including galvanised, anodised and zinc coated steel, aluminium.
Where not to use:
Not recommended for use on copper or brass.
Filler Primer
Autotek is a high solids acrylic yellow primer designed to fill scratches and minor surface defects whilst depositing a tough, durable surface receptive to the Autotek range of standard gloss, satin, matt and coloured spray paints. This product is also compatible with most automotive finishes including acrylics, cellulosics, alkyds and polyurethanes.
Where to use:
All types of conventional metallic surfaces, fibreglass, most synthetic paints and surface coatings and most rigid plastics.
Where not to use:
Very flexible plastics surfaces.
Grey Plastic Primer
Autotek Plastic Primer uses a modern acrylic formulation that provides a durable finish with enhanced covering power. It enables you to spray directly onto many rigid plastic surfaces and may also be used in conjunction with a majority of different paint types e.g. acrylic, cellulose, alkyd and polyurethane.
Where to use:
Most rigid, non-porous plastics, including glass reinforced polyester, polyurethanes, unplasticised PVC and most thermosets. This product is ideal for use on plastic bumpers and wheel trims.
Where not to use:
Flexible plastics. Thermoplastics such as acrylics, polystyrene, polyolefins etc.
High Build Primer Grey
Autotek High Build Primers have been specifically formulated to possess excellent compatibility with the latest generation of water-based refinishing paints as well as traditional solvent based coatings. These primers are also compatible with two-pack ambient cured finishes
Where to use:
All types of conventional metallic surfaces, fiberglass, most synthetic paints and surface coatings and most rigid plastics.
Where not to use:
Very flexible plastics surfaces.
Grey Primer
Autotek Primer is a primer that provides a tough and durable finish to all types of paintwork. For best results, leave for 24 hours to ensure the best possible finish can be achieved by the special formula. The 500ml spray formula also ensures you are able to get a quick and even coverage on the paintwork.
Where to use:
Suitable for use on most metals and rigid plastics.
Where not to use:
Surfaces previously treated with alkyd paints, without first ascertaining suitability.
Zinc Primer
Autotek zinc primer is a rich coating that dries to a smooth, metallic, grey matt finish, designed to provide outstanding corrosion resistance on ferrous surfaces, and an excellent receptive basis for subsequent decorative and functional finishes. Outstanding resistance to weathering, suitable for welding through.
Where to use:
Designed for use on all types of cleaned metallic surfaces, particularly for protection of welds, and most conventional coatings.
Where not to use:
Some painted surfaces without first establishing suitability.
